Frank swung his legs back and forth, messing with his gloves. "Bored bored bored bored." He sang quietly.

An Iris message appeared in that moment, Donna Way's worried face peering through. "Mikey? Mikey, is that you?"

Mikey blinked, shocked to be seeing his mom's face in a rainbow. "Mom? What..." He noticed how worried she looked. It looked like she had been crying.

Tears started forming in Donna Way's eyes. "Ge-Gerard overdosed on p-pills. He-e's in the hos-spital."

Frank watched and his eyes went wide. "Wait, what?"

Mikey's lip started trembling. "I'm coming to see him, okay, Mom?" he said as he waved his arm through the Iris message. Tears starting spilling freely from his eyes at the thought of Gerard, his older brother, his best f***ing friend, in the hospital. Gerard had always hated hospitals, because of all of the needles they had there. Needles for shots to give people medicine or put them to sleep. He hated needles, too. He couldn't be in the hospital.

Frank rubbed Mikey's shoulder. "Hey, it's okay, He'll be fine, okay? Let's go see him, together, alright?"

Mikey nods slightly, and says quietly, sounding almost child-like, "He hates hospitals, Frankie. He can't be in the hospital." Mikey was shaking all over, his tears sliding down his cheeks. The thought of his brother, the weird, artistic, alcoholic in the hospital scared the s*** out of him. The thought of his brother lying in a bed, close to death scared the s*** out of him. The thought of his older brother being hurt scared the s*** out of him. He had always thought that his brother was immortal, invincible. To Mikey, Gerard was like a superhero. He couldn't be hurt. It just didn't work out that way.

"Hey, it's going to be fine, stop crying, please. We'll go make sure he's okay, 'kay?" Frankie said and led him out of the cabin.

Mikey nodded and bit his lip. He tried to stop crying, he truly did, but it seemed like the more he tried to stop crying, the more he cried. "H-how will-l we g-get-t ther-re?" Mikey asked Frank. Mikey was still shaking. He didn't want to have to go home under these circumstances. He wanted to go home just to visit his family, to see them again. To check up on how they were doing, not to make sure that one of them doesn't die.

"We'll, um, take a taxi. Pick-pocket someone for the money, but we'll get there. I promise."

Mikey nods again and hugs Frankie. "Thank you," he says softly, his eyes closed. He was still crying and shaking, just not as much as before. 'He'll be fine,' he told himself. 'He will.'
